The PEDW portal and deadline for responding to Statkraft’s proposal to build 12 150-180m turbines on the slopes of Y Garn and Pumlumon Fawr are now closed.  We put our objection in on the day but PEDW have been quite slow in uploading it to their portal so we thought we’d post it here ourselves, for anyone interested to consider.  It consists of two fairly lengthy documents: our own comments, here and a report we commissioned from an independent landscape consultant, which you can read here.  We think we’ve raised enough causes for doubt as to the suitability and even viability of a wind farm in this particular part of the Cambrians for the Inspector to think twice.  But only time will tell….
