The Society’s 2022 AGM is coming up fast, on 12 November 2022 to be precise.  Members should already have received formal notice and the Agenda; if you have not had papers please let us know at secretary@cambrian-mountains.co.uk.  We’ll be at the Metropole Hotel, one of the foremost Victorian hotels of mid-Wales, as usual.  The business of the day includes:

• approving accounts, electing Trustees and officers;
• discussing the summer’s AONB spectacularly successful campaigning;
• where and what next for the AONB campaign; and
• identifying priorities for the Society for the next 12 months, by reviewing the responses to the Members’ Survey.

There’s still time to put your oar in, either in person (please do register in advance, so we can give the hotel accurate numbers for catering) or through the survey – or both.  Bear in mind, though, that the online survey closes on 2 November (to give the Trustees time to absorb and reflect on Members’ views and suggestions).

After lunch, we’ll have a seminar from Michael Freeman on – fitting to the location! – Victorian era tourism in the Cambrian Mountains.
