The world has changed a lot since the Society was founded in 2005, and the issues facing us all have changed enormously too. But the Society has adapted and evolved, and we continue to spread the word about our beautiful region, its history, culture and biodiversity. So on 12 July 2025 we’re getting together for an afternoon of Celtic music courtesy of harpist Harriet Earis, daughter of former Chair Professor Roger Earis, reminiscence and discussion of the Society’s achievements so far and – inevitably – a champagne tea to round it all off. The venue is the Village Hall in Pontrhydfendigaid, the start time is 2.30pm and as we’ll be catering we do need you to book in, to make sure we neither over- nor under-provide (by too much, anyway). Booking through the form below, or by email to Lorna on secretary@cambrian-mountains.co.uk or by phone on 01591 610192.
We’re more than happy for friends and family to come along to help us celebrate: the more the merrier, whether past, present or only potential future members. But we are asking for a small contribution (payable at the door), since we do need to pay for the Hall, the food and something for Harriet (though she is reducing her fee given the family connection). We hope to see as many as possible of you there!
