We’re gathering in Llanddewi Brefi for the Society’s AGM this year, on Saturday 17 October 2026 starting from 11 am.   (The date was incorrectly printed in the Journal as 7 October 2026; please note that the 17th is the correct day).

Llanddewi Brefi Community Hall looking eastThe venue is not St David’s Church but the Community Centre slightly further into the village on the mountain road to Ffarmers, shown here (from the playing field, not from the road).

We’ll be discussing the Society’s achievements and finances over the last year, the proposed amendment of the boundary by which we define the Cambrian Mountains, re-electing officers and Trustees and enjoying a sandwich lunch before turning to the afternoon seminar, with speakers from the Nature Friendly Farming Network, and the Farmers’ Union of Wales, as well as a presentation from Peter Midmore on the ins and outs of community energy: a viable route to net zero for the farms and communities of the Cambrian Mountains?

We’ll close at around 4pm with tea, coffee and cake.  Hope to see you there!
