The onslaught of applications to develop wind farms on the heights of the Cambrian Mountains, as elsewhere throughout Wales, is now building up.  Climate change is clearly a wicked problem which Wales must face up to – but are these vast towers in one of the most unspoilt areas in mainland Britain really the right answer?  The issues are not simple; despite the political imperative to be seen to be doing something right away, neither are the answers.

The Society has always supported more renewable energy at domestic and community level as the best way to get Mid-Wales to net zero.  In this webinar we will explain why we believe that commercial wind farms industrialising these uplands, and undermining the development of tourism and other uses of the land, is neither a necessary nor an appropriate way forward.

Please register for a free ticket below if you wish to attend, so that we can send you a link to the Zoom. This will be sent out the day before the webinar takes place.
