I do not see any merit in including Tal-y-bont and the very busy A487 and close environs within the Cambrians boundary. If you have to use a road as a boundary, why not follow the minor road east of Tal-y-bont that runs north past Bedd Taliesin to Cefnweirog where a good PROW goes north and quickly joins the Wales Coast path just south of Cwm Einion. Others have mentioned including RSPB Ynyshir and/or the south bank of the Dyfi estuary. These already have significant environmental protection with SSSI, SAC, SPA designations. More importantly coastal habitat is not part of the Cambrian Mountains that I know and love. The distinctive character of quiet, upland plateau/moorland will be totally lost if this is included.
