Is the likelihood of ultimate designation enhanced by avoiding over-reach and focussing on the most tranquil, undeveloped and unpopulated central uplands or should the proposal be as large as we can possibly justify to eg protect as much landscape as possible, provide the central uplands with a ‘buffer zone’ and/or increase diversity of landscapes and ecosystems (and their corridors)?
Is case for protection aided or hindered by including or excluding the ‘necklace towns’ ?– by taking principal roads the proposal often bisects towns
Could the Cambrian Mountains include coastline too? Eg Include the Dovey estuary and Cors Fochno and Ynys Hir Reserve by eg following Avon Leri from Talybont to the Estuary and up to Dovey Junction Stn
