A very enjoyable walk was had by 10 walkers with the CMS on the Hafod Estate on Saturday 26th September. Hafod looked at its best in the beautiful Autumn sunshine and we were able to explore the Pwllpeiran Falls and the Gorge Walk as well as seeing the improvements which the new custodians, the National Trust, have been making to both Mrs. Johnes and Mariamne’s gardens.
Lunch was highly pleasurable in an idyllic spot on the River Ystwyth with good convivial company and visits were also made to the Book Shop in the old Victorian stables and to Eglwys Newydd Church.A few were unsure about the Chain Bridge but everyone crossed safely and enjoyed the day.
