This proposal is being developed by Bute Energy.  If built, it would consist of 37 turbines at a height of up to 230m (750ft), ranging from the Battlefield of Hyddgen just north of Nant y Moch reservoir, across to the ridge of Moel y Llyn above Artists’ Valley, above Furnace and the Dyfi Estuary.  .

It includes some important areas of deep peat and would be clearly visible from Aberdovey, the Tarrenhendre of southern Eryri, not to mention the summit of Cadair Idris.

The developers carried out perfunctory local consultations in late 2025 and say that they are aiming to carry out statutory pre-application consultations in mid-2026. .  Details at: https://bute.energy/waun-hesgog.
