Our next Members’ walk will be on Saturday 10 May, with a view to hearing some of the birds now flocking into and over the Cambrians for the spring and summer seasons.  We’ll meet opposite the Abbey Farmhouse next to the Strata Florida visitors’ centre and car park, and set off at 10 am for a leisurely birdwatching walk around the Strata Florida area visiting Coed Dolgoed, Bryn Eithinog and Talwrn to experience the beauty of birdsong and uncover the secrets of bird identification with an expert.

The route is 5.5 miles with only 500 feet of ascent, on moorland paths and forest tracks.  Lovely views across Ceredigion to the Coast – bring your binoculars and a lunch.Since it is inconceivable to have Red on a walk without Jess (seen here demonstrating correct keeping to a path!), this route is one suitable for dogs kept on a lead.  If you’re planning to come along, please do let Red know in advance using the contact details in the members’ email.
