The 2023 Cambrian Mountains Poetry competition is now closed, and the judges grappling with the 127 poems which were submitted. We are delighted with the calibre of entries – and with how far news of our competition travelled. Multiple entries came in from the Antipodes as well as the USA and our European neighbours in the island of Ireland, France, Shetland, mainland Scotland and England as well as Wales itself.
The judges – Julie Brominicks, Vernon Jones and Cyril Jones – will announce their decision in January. We’re planning a prize giving with readings and a panel discussion, to be held in the Library at the village hall in Pontrhydfendigaid on 2 March from 3-6 pm. All welcome!
