Photographically-minded members will appreciate just how difficult it is to get a good shot of one of the Cambrians’ best loved, but most reclusive, mammals, the water voles – but someone has entered this gem in the October photography competition.  Will it win?  Who knows – there’s another great shot, of a badger in snow, and plenty of landscapes… take a look, and vote! (You need to sign in to the Members’ Area to see all the submissions, for each month, and cast your vote.)

November’s competition is now underway (again, access the Members’ area) and the competition is stiff.  Photographs can be of any subject, but need to have been taken by a member and within the Cambrian Mountains.   How about this one, featuring an animal at the opposite extreme of mammalian life to be found in the uplands?

Once the year closes, our judging panel will be picking an overall winner for the year based on an overall assessment combining the popular vote and their own views (we’re not saying that Members would cook up a “Boaty McBoatface” debacle for us, but we just wanted to be sure).
