Elan Valley, Sunday 5th May

Eight members enjoyed a walk today over Esgair Penygarreg in the Elan Estate. Fine views over to Drygarn Fawr and the Black Mountains were helped by a cold northern air mass – despite blue skies this was a coats-on day. And as a bonus the return leg through the oak wood above the Penygarreg Reservoir was carpeted with bluebells, or clychau’r gog, in full bloom.
