Cynigion penodol yr ydym yn eu hyrwyddo
The Society seeks to promote, for the benefit of local communities and the wider public, measures which will sustain or enhance the landscape, natural beauty, biodiversity, archaeology, scientific interest and cultural heritage of the Cambrian Mountains.
Our present primary objective is to secure designated landscape status for the whole region, since long-term and coherent management across local authority boundaries is the best method to ensure that different stakeholders’ interests are appropriately balanced such that development for any one purpose does not harm other aspects or users of the Mountains.
Pending such designation, however, whenever development proposals are made which threaten one or more of these interests, the Society seeks to take any actions within its powers to prevent or limit the risk of damage. Follow the links above to read more about our current campaigns.
